Purchase
These pictures show the cottage at about the time we purchased it in 2013.
Clearing the site
It took about a year to get planning permission before we could do anything. The first job was to clear the land so there was a flat area at the rear of the house, and this would also prevent water from draining towards the cottage.
Stripping Out
We needed to clear the inside of the cottage in preparation for our builders to start.
Building
Darren and Tommy, our excellent builders, got started in the summer of 2015.
Finishing Off
Once the main building work had been completed on the cottage, much stuff would be finished before the moving-in day.
Garage & Landscape
At the height of the Covid epidemic, Darren and Tommy got started on the new garage and the external landscaping.
